Our Story
In 1946, Dr. Joseph Way opened his dental practice in the Westhampton neighborhood of Richmond. His son, Dr. William Way, joined after earning his doctoral degree from the Medical College of Virginia in 1987, and had the privilege of working side-by-side with his father.
Today, Dr. Way continues that family tradition of excellence — treating each patient with the same personal attention and care that has defined this practice for nearly eight decades. It's not just dentistry; it's a relationship built on trust, one family at a time.

Patient Stories
"Dr. Way and his team make you feel like family, not a number. My kids actually look forward to their dental visits — I never thought that was possible. The office is warm, welcoming, and everyone remembers your name."
"I've been coming here for over 15 years. Dr. Way is thorough, honest, and never recommends anything you don't actually need. The location on Libbie Ave is so convenient — I can walk from home. Can't imagine going anywhere else."
"Melanie is the best hygienist I've ever had — gentle, knowledgeable, and she really takes her time. The whole office feels like stepping into a neighborhood you've known forever. That matters when you're sitting in a dental chair!"

Absolutely — we love seeing the whole family. We recommend a child's first dental visit by age one, or within six months of their first tooth appearing. We offer dental sealants and mouthguards specifically designed for younger patients.
We're open Monday through Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and closed on Friday. We do our best to accommodate your schedule.
Invisalign is a great option for many adults and teens who want to improve their smile without traditional braces. Dr. Way can evaluate your teeth and discuss whether clear aligners are right for your specific situation during a consultation.
